New Pi box #262

The Pi requires a new (waterproof) box

Spoyl commented 6 years ago

We could 3-d print a case with ABS instead of using tupperware. Thick walls with solid infill should prevent water getting in.

I was thinking of a 3D printed case as well, the only concern I have about it is how are we going to secure the lid on it in such a way that it would be waterproof

Silicone caulking is the easiest, or a groove and an 0-ring is reusable, i'd recommend a layer of marine epoxy or waterproof wood glue on the inside, it's very hard to get naturally waterproof 3d prints
