The "pause" feature is internal to Octoprint (and the 3D printers themselves). It has nothing to do with this KODI addon. The addon simply instructs the printer (via Octoprint) to perform a pause operation. the chances of fire is no greater than pausing via the printer itself.
I am using the latest Octopi with my Anycubic i3 Mega - this addon (normal and mini) mostly freezes after a while. After pressing back on the remote the addon disappears from the screen. But the printer has been set to pause. This means (if you dont react immediately) it will not only ruin your print objet but may also set your filament on fire after a while - the hotend is still heated and filament is still oozing out of the nozzle. At least the current position will become chared after some time or will eventually ignite the filament.
