There's better components for Events in MODX now - leaving up the source just in case, but I strongly suggest using EventsX or mxCalendar instead. EventManager is not going to be supported in favour of other components.

maybe there is a solution to implement with VisionCart? Do you know about?

Not at this point, lol. :P

VC uses objects aswell, so I guess it wouldn't be too tricky to create a FormIt hook to append to the field to fill the cart, and then redirect to the checkout.

The tricky thing would be matching that against the EM database..

Definitely wont be in the first release tho - I don't have the need for that, and don't have any investors in this yet :(

Definitely understand that. This is a long-term feature-request. ;-)
