Always half rectangle for label colour and gap option

Always show layer label colour as half rectangle instead of full when there is no glyph label colour. (It's confusing if the layer label colour is the full bar which should be only for the glyph label colour)
Added gap option (useful when dealing with narrow glyphs or glyphs like marks) – currently set to 0

I think this was working like that before, but went broken due to API changes. Maybe. Any case, thanks a lot!
