Hi, Is it possible to use TD without installing ED directly? I use TD standalone and would like to try the helper out, but i like to use the TD tool on a separate computer.

I have never tried this but you should be able to do this once TDH2 has been set up. Create the folder in which you want to install TDH2 and add an empty folder named 'Logs' and an empty file named AppConfig.xml. Install TDH2 as per the set up instructions deleting the empty AppConfig.xml file when asked for a valid file. Once TDH2 has done the initial set up open the settings form and check the 'Disable Netlogs' option.

Without the NetLogs part of the system you will not be able to see the most recent systems in the Source and Destination drop down lists, nor will anything show up in the Pilot's Log.

Please also note that EDCE no longer works due to Frontier changing the authentication method. You still need to install EDCE since the current version of TDH2 expects to find it, but don't try to use it or the 'Commander Profile'. This will be fixed in the latest issue (I'm testing it out at the moment) and I'll also make sure that TDH2 will operate as a stand alone system.

So, you have the choice, try to set the current version up now or wait a week or so for the next version.

Thanks.

The latest version of TD Helper 2 (v2.1.0.1) may be set up as a stand alone application. When asked to locate the AppConfig.xml file simply press the cancel button and the reading of the NetLog files will be disabled.
