Request an option to predefault all Planetary options to N #53

I'd like to request an option to predefault all Planetary options to N. I have Horizons, but I absolutely abhor taking the time to land on planets (it's akin to at least 2000Ls, but there's no way in TD's interface to impose a planet landing penalty akin to the LS penalty) and would prefer to penalize it or avoid it if it can't be simply penalized.

I'll have a look at the best way to achieve this. I think a setting override option in the settings might be the way to go.

Alternatively, it might be something that eyeonus could add to TD itself. I'll ask him and find out how easy it would be to add a planetary landing penalty akin to the LS penalty as you suggest.

Any update on this feature? I think it would be excellent to have a penalty measured in Ls to planetary landings. A text input box for how many Ls to penalize it for would probably be the most simple and useful? Amazing work guys. Just joined Elite:D and am blown away by how much dev has gone into tools and 3rd party stuff. Hope to contribute something soon.

I have had a small problem with TD Helper since the early Spring this year as my PC died and since all my other computer bar the games PC are MacOS, I am unable to carry out any Windows based development.

I am reluctant to buy a very expensive window licence to set up a virtual machine on one of my Macs as we as a family are a tad short of money due to redundancies caused by the pandemic.

So, until I can find another Windows based computer to continue the TD Helper I’m stuck.

I am making progress on a Java based cross-platform version but this is still in the early stages of development.

So, no and yes is the answer to your question.
