Modify the case for the pi 3A+ to have mounting tabs #10

The current case can only rest on something. There needs to be a version of it with tabs on the side with holes that a screw could be put through for wall mounting.

I like that the case is so small, but I can see where some may want to screw it to something. Since it will have to be raised to clear the screw heads, It will require support while printing. Probably easiest solution is make the bottom thicker with the added material extending past the ends and recess the screws. I'll look at it.

I have a revised box with flange but don't know how to upload it

JamesAndrews352 commented 3 years ago

You can view it on my google drive. I re scaled the other files as well so they should print. Let me know if you hate it or want to change something. I put the flange on the long side since you have to have power plugged in the one long side anyway.

All of the scaled ones look great! Thanks for fixing that for me. How did you re-scale them? I'm only seeing one issue with the flange case, it looks like one of the vertices from the standoffs on the bottom of the case got connected to the side wall. At least that's the way it looks when I import into cura. I haven't tried printing it yet though, so I don't know if it's actually a problem. Here's a picture

I found that I could export the STL from prusa slicer after scaling it. I'm not sure what you are seeing on the flanged one. I just uploaded a different version. Flange still looks too big but I got rid of some gaps.

I made one more little tweak to clean up some of the corners and I added a third mounting hole in the middle of each flange. I'm mounting it to an exposed stud in my basement so I wanted it to be centered. Commit
