Thanks for sharing. Regarding GRPD, since IPs are also considered private information, a lawyer told me that we should also consider explicit consent for the purpose of analytics. : /

The app doesn't collect ip addresses but the anonymized first octects that all the "GA Privacy alternatives" also include to finger print for session IDs. Lots of other lawyers have said that's ok, since it's an ID that identifies 999 people, not an individual.

But depends on your lawyer, interpretation of ePrivacy and tolerance of legal risk. I offer no recommendations :)

I thought that so, but as it's derived from personal data he told me that it was not strictly fine. However, I think it's a better approach than others I've seen ;) What I ended up doing is including a note about IPs treatment in the privacy policy page.
