Mindmaps keep rolling back to old version?? #852

Hello,

I have a strange issue, when editing my mindmap it always rolls back to a previous version in history. There is no way to stop this, I even tried offline without an internet connection. It happens almost instantly when I edit the markdown or also in mindmap mode (I use the basic paid version)

Any idea what could be causing this? It's driving me crazy...

I'm not sure about this situation yet, it may be affected by plugins. You can open a new vault and try using only this plugin to test.

Hi thanks for the reply and the idea. I will try your suggestion and let you know if I find out anything.

Might be difficult to reproduce. I remember seeing a message before, but very quickly in the top right. Something about the MD file being manipulated externally by something else or something? I don't have any other Markdown editors open and I also thought maybe it was my syncing service (Mega.nz) but even offline I get these issues.

Anyway I try to catch the bug..

Maybe you opened the same mind map multiple tab

Thanks for the support. No, I did not have the mind map open in multiple tabs.

Today, I don't have any more issues. Yesterday i finished my Obsidian session with:

I also had a look in Settings - Options > Core plugins > File recovery > Snapshots That about describes the "rollback" I was experiencing, I think something seemed to trigger a Snapshot Restore,.. somehow.

Anyway, I could not reproduce the issues anymore. Maybe the Snapshot History was wiped updating to 1.6.2? The MarkMind plugin seems to be working correctly now, thanks for making it. I am an Xmind fan, and seem to understand you are recreating the Xmind features in your work. Now with MarkMind we can keep inside Obsidian, which is fantastic. Good job 👍
