ALSO operator in RapidMiner #6

Hello, I have a hard time trying to get outlier scores from the ALSO operator in RapidMiner. Whatever my tweaking, the dataset, the internal regression model… the result is a useless long list of zero outlier scores. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

Unfortunately I am not the author of this operator, so I can't tell you much details. However, I just tried it with a linear regression on some simple data and I do get results. I tried different regression models and indeed I had some difficulties with polynomial regression ... however, find attached a process working with a linear regression model.

You might want to contact the author of the operator for details, see git commit of the operator.

Hello Markus, Thank you for this answer. This is now really strange: I tried out your attached process, just copying-pasting it into RM, yet obtained nothing but zeroes in the outlier and outlier score columns. I start thinking this is about my system. I will test it again on a mac to see whether something behaves differently…

ALSO really does not work in RapidMiner, no matter whether on PC, on Mac, no matter the regressor inside the operator or the input data. One gets only zero outlier scores...
