Paxels/AIOT tools don't increase tool levels

It would be nice if tools like paxels or AIOT could work as well depending on what you mine. Like if you mine pickaxe types blocks then it upgrades your pickaxe item level, if you chop trees then it upgrades the axe item level etc.
Ofc I dunno if this is even doable or the amount of work it'd require but I thought I'd ask, one never knows :)
