Crashing on start-up 2.5.0 (and older) #46

Encountering a start up crash which started happening today. Gets half way into "Loading CDN Indexes" before it throws up a stopped working error and asks to be shut down. Older versions do not work either.

Sounds familiar, people that got this in the past had the Battle.net launcher repair their game and it would work again. Try that, please.

Was about to edit to add that repairing my WoW install showed no errors, the issue persists after doing so.

Using live WoW or PTR?

Live only. Haven't got PTR installed.

Can't seem to reproduce it on my installation. It must be something relating to yours that the Battle.net launcher isn't picking up.

Try renaming the "indices" folder in the Data folder insider of your WoW dir to something else and then start WoW. It should recreate them (might take a minute).
