Also today when calibrating my extruder I noticed the E motor doesnt push filament when it reaches the hotend. It will push and retract before that, but once it gets there it stops. I can push filament manually so there isnt no blockage, so not sure if this is related. Thank you for your help!
Are you using a Marlin release, or bugfix branch?
Its Marlin 1.1.6
On the LCD "E1" refers to what geeks call "E0."

Hi there new to marlin and working with a MKS Gen 1.4 and been doing good on it, Got it all working and I noticed after testing the hotend and heatbed for stability for an hour, I looked at the LCD and it says "E1 Heating...] and when I try to move the X axis i doesn't move unless I turnoff heating for the extruder. Im using my E1 port for my second Z motor which I changed in the configuration_adv.h file and works. Now I just got this issue. I still haven't done a test print as im calibrating the extruder motor atm, but if anyone can give me a solution to this "E1 heating..." while im doing this that would be great. Thank you!
