Screen flashes when opening side menu #901

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Whenever I have a book open, clicking on the top right menu button makes the
screen flash unpleasantly. The menu does open and everything works, but the
flashing repeats every time I open or close the menu. Is there an option I can
disable to make it stop?

What version of the product are you using?
2.1.14

On what operating system?
Android 2.2

What device are you using?
Nook HD+

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi! Sorry, in Nook settings it says 2.2, but online check says the Android
version is actually 4.0.4.

Ok. Then please specify what version of ebd does not have described bug.

Did you tried 2.2.0 version?

I am not sure which version I had previously - I just know that it must have
been pretty old, because I had it for a while and only updated it once, namely
yesterday. In my previous version, there was no side menu, the button to move
within the pages of the book was directly on top of the screen.

Is there a way to return to an older version? I'd like that, but my device is
not rooted, I'm not sure how to do that.

There you can find all versions. You need to put apk file to your device and
run it there. All you need is to enable install apps from other sources than
play market.

Also you should turn off updates for ebookdroid in google play.

I am not sure about nook. I just described how to install on generic android
device.

Thanks a lot for the link - unfortunately, things seem to be more complicated
for Nook, so I'm gonna have to stick with the new version. Has no one else
reported this problem though? It would be great if you could address it in the
next update.

Thanks again!

It seems that this bug can be reproduced only on Nook. Unfortunately we can not
reproduce it and can not fix right now because can not understand what can
cause it.
