Black screen when opening a pdf file

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add a new pdf file to the sdcard
2. Update the library
3. Open the pdf from the libary

What is the expected output?
The file is shown

What do you see instead?
Most of the time a black screen with a responsive interface; the side menus 
working and notifications of page changes when flipped appears.

What version of the product are you using?
2.2.3

On what operating system?
Android 4.4.2

What device are you using?
Cube talk 9x

Please provide any additional information below.

This issue appears only on the 2.2.3 version of the program; making a downgrade 
to the 2.2.2 and keeping all settings equal works correctly.

One more question. Do you see "Retrieving page info..." with counter before 
black screen upon opening new document or just a black screen? Does this black 
screen happens on all documents or on specific one?

When I open a file from the library appears loading <the name of the file> 
please wait.
Then the screen goes black and nothing more happens.

It seems to appear in almost all documents, but i think that it happens only 
with files that haven't the cover scanned in the library (tried a new document, 
black screen; scanned covers and restarted the program and it opens).

I was playing a little with the library and found that if i try to open a file, 
get a black screen, close the app and try to open it again it worked in all the 
tries i made.

So, it happens for some reason, then after reopening app it can not be 
reproduced, correct?

Three more questions: 1. Where does your documents placed% internal memory or 
external sd card?
2. Where does ebookdroid cache located (it can be checked in settings): 
internal memory or sd card?
3. If external sd card is present - what is the mount point for it?

Correct, once you restart the program that file can be opened, but in the same 
session if you open another new file the problem happens again.

My library is stored into a sd card, the cache is in system app cache and the 
mountpoint for my sdcard is /mnt/sdcard2 (and i think that it has a symlink to 
/storage/sdcard1 because my library path is /storage/sdcard1/Documents).
