As a security conscious user, I have enforced the use of 2-factor authentication. Specifically I allow users (all whopping 5) to use either the Google authenticator mobile app and friends and/or a U2F security key.
The app is unable to login with that.
I can probably work around it with application passwords, but that just makes things less secure and more complex.

Nextcloud now supports OIDC by the way...
