👋 Thanks for opening your first issue here! If you're reporting a 🐞 bug, please make sure you include steps to reproduce it. We get a lot of duplicate issues on this repo, so please double check now that your issue has not already been solved or doesn't have an open issue already. I am strangely seeing this behavior on YouTube Music within Chrome 78.0.3904.70 today, too.
I'm seeing this issue when GPMDP has been idle for some time (not playing anything). Don't really have a sure way of reproducing it, I'll just be opening GPMDP after like an hour and the window is completely black and I have to quit it and open it again.
Checklist:
OS: macOS 10.14 (18A391)
GPMDP Version: Version 4.6.1 (4.6.1)
Issue Descriptions:
I think there may be two issues here but they happen consecutively reliably.
After playing music for a few minutes or a few tracks, the audio will skip repeatedly, dropping out for about 250 ms then playing for 250 ms, cycling like that for the remainder of the song and then fixing itself after a few minutes or after I pause for a few seconds and then resume. I have reliable base Internet but I'm forced to use a proxy so I can't eliminate interference from the proxy as a cause. I'm less concerned about this since a pause/play cycle, while annoying, seems to fix it.
Eventually, the music will stop and the application screen – which I've full-screened – will go black. I observed it happen again while typing this report! It doesn't happen at launch like in issues https://github.com/MarshallOfSound/Google-Play-Music-Desktop-Player-UNOFFICIAL-/issues/3198 or https://github.com/MarshallOfSound/Google-Play-Music-Desktop-Player-UNOFFICIAL-/issues/2836 nor does Activity Monitor reflect out of control memory usage like in https://github.com/MarshallOfSound/Google-Play-Music-Desktop-Player-UNOFFICIAL-/issues/3247 or https://github.com/MarshallOfSound/Google-Play-Music-Desktop-Player-UNOFFICIAL-/issues/3518.
Steps to Reproduce:
Troubleshooting steps executed:
brew cask reinstall marshallofsound-google-play-music-player
to reinstall v4.6.1)rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Google\ Play\ Music\ Desktop\ Player/Cache/*
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Google\ Play\ Music\ Desktop\ Player/
entirely - I'm trying to avoid this because I really don't want to have to reconfigure it
