Change GPMDP name

Following the example of XBMC -> Kodi renaming, what do you think about changing the name of GPMDP to something that sounds better for public's ears? By adding new features (like Youtube Music stream) and possibly more in the fugure, the app is moving away from having Google in its name (like XBMC which started on Xbox).

What are your thoughts?

Well, it now supports YouTube Music.

It might we worth it to make this change at a minimum - and it's unlikely to hurt search results for people looking for this software.

But isn't 'Player' redundant?

We're now fairly shortened - but what if Google takes issue for branding or trademark issues?

The easiest fix is to go phonetically?

I like the idea of GMD, then it's sorta platform-neutral, and the program can move on down the road no matter which Google Music product you're covering.

This seems especially relevant since GPM is shutting down sometime this year

Google will start to shutdown GPM by next month.
I think it is high time to brainstorm a new name.

"Google Play Music Desktop Player" was too long anyway. This is a great opportunity to come up with a better name.

I have a feeling it'll probably just become YouTube music desktop player
