Microstuttering when switching the primary playback device (persistent) #3907

Closed MagmaGuy closed 4 years ago

MagmaGuy commented 4 years ago

OS: WIN10

GPMDP Version: 4.7.1

Issue Descriptions: I am experiencing microstuttering after changing between two DAC devices (was on fiio olympus 2, changed to a focusrite scarlet 2i2). This is the only thing that I changed, and the issue persists between restarts. I have verified that GPMDP is the only app with this issue, and it does seem persist through restarts. I even tried to disable anything else that might be interfere with the playback devices, and manually set the playback device - no dice.

Steps to Reproduce: Switch DAC devices on windows 10.

I will update this post if the issue resolves itself or if I find the cause.

Found the issue, it had to do with the DAC drivers. Oddly enough only this and one completely random Steam game were suffering from this issue, but as soon as it happened on that game I figured it was probably something else. Reinstalling/udpating the drivers fixed it.
