This is most likely just a false alert, same as for my other project Syncthing Tray. So I'm closing this with a reference to https://github.com/Martchus/syncthingtray/issues/189.

If you have any actual evidence why this software would be "malicious" your are of course still welcome to share that.

No worries, hopefully things will get updated soon and the status will get cleared - happened to another project I download from, FanControl, and was fixed fairly soon. Was just making everyone aware.
