Open Vendo232 opened 1 year ago

the app seems to be working , it generated a known_device.yaml etc but when I enter the long live token and leave the Endpoint the toke dissapears.

it is not clear how to get the data to Home Assistant, known_devices.yaml does not exists.

anyone knows how to fix this? image

Looking for a solution for this as well. I'll post back here if I figure it out, but no luck so far.

@Vendo232 just add unique_id: to the yaml code.

eg:

findmy_90489230849238423: name: "Name" mac: FINDMY_90823489238492349023423 unique_id: e34d4044-7fbc-11ee-b962-0242ac120002 icon: picture: track: true

Sorry, but I do not get it.

The app on macos is setup with bearer token etc. What do I have to do with homeassistant? I have created a known_devices.yaml, but as said, its deprecated. So what do I have to add to the configuration.yaml?

Did you have any luck here? I'm at the same stage and scratching my head.

known_devices.yaml file is still working (HA 2024.5.5), you just need to put the generated code inside this file, and HA will recognize your items
