Is "Net" a proper term? #38

I have used the term net in my part quite a lot. I have changed some of it to network. However in some of the sentences the word network does not sound great to me. Is net a proper term which can be used in the paper? Examples of usages include:

\subsubsection{Net Topology} show that a simple net topologies works best. The topology we used is detailed in \cref{tab:topo2}.

When I mentioned it, I mainly thought about the capitalization. It has to be "net", not "Net". Both seem to be used:

network only:

net only:

mixed:

Without having checked it, it seems to me that the name of some trained networks contains "net" and some paper titles name it "net", while in the text most write "network".

I'd prefer to stay consistently with "network" (except for names like GoogLeNet, of course)
