We can probably use the spigot near the tent for the water
5 gallon drink coolers - we can borrow 2 from the Gilberts. We will ask the Pauls if they have some.
Ice - Gilberts said they used lots of ice. Tell ice supplier ahead of time so they are sure to have enough. (Gilberts stored their kegs of beer on ice in trash cans until party started, then they took the kegs out and used the trash cans for trash.
How many wash basins will you need to hold bottled drinks on ice? Will you have any bottled drinks besides wine (Sodas? Beer?) We have one wash basin. Should we borrow more from friends?
(As I remember, we decided on a wash basin because a canoe was too big and required too much ice.)
yep we decided for the wash basin. We definitely need one for the white wine and you're right, another one for some soda's is probably a good idea. Not sure about the red wine. Usually red does't have to be cooled but if it's really hot it might make sense to cool it down a little bit. Since we're going to have two kegs of beer we don't need individual cans and therefore no basin for beer. What do you think?
2 kegs sounds like plenty of beer. No need for cans or bottles. But what do I know? I don't drink beer. I'll get 1 more wash basin for sodas (or 2, if I can find 2). Now I have a question about the keg... Did you guys ask Devil's Backbone if they have CO2 charged beer kegs so that we can use them with a Jockey Box? (I did a little research and it seems like a jockey box would be a nicer set up. What do you think?)
I visited Dawn today and she did not have a wash basin, but she offered this beautiful copper apple butter kettle. So now we have one apple butter kettle and one metal wash basin to put ice in to keep drinks cold.
