10 years ago Renting camping tents locally does not seem to be easy... Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing was the only place that even considered it. They normally rent tents to their guests, but thought they could work out something with us. However, what they have are nice, light backpacking tents, and therefore they are small and expensive to rent.
Here are some other ideas... Walmart has a 7' x 7', 2 person, dome tent for 29.95. We could buy 10 and return what we don't use. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Exxel-7-x-7-Dome-Tent-Sleeps-2/15257223
We could use the tents we have and borrow from friends.
Instead of tents, we could find padding to put under the new shed for one big slumber party with a nice view.
The shed will be close to pottys, water, action, etc. And if the bugs are bad, we could have bug spray handy. The trick will be finding the padding at a good price. Maybe campers could bring their own thermarest pad? And if they don't, maybe we could undo the bales of straw for padding after the party is over? (David might not like that idea.)
Do you think people would prefer to tent or be one big happy family under the shed? Do you think if someone needs more privacy or just wants to tent somewhere else on the property, they would want figure out how to get a tent down here?
