DOSbox-Optionals build will not run executable passed in from command line #9

The current DOSBox Optionals build ignores any DOS executable passed on the command line.

When a program is included on the command line (parameter "name" in DOSbox parlance), it always simply opens an interactive Dosbox command shell, with a Z: prompt.

Proper operation would be to mount the executable's directory as C:\ and then run the executable. This does not happen.

Fact. I've also used the command almost never before. Something has gone wrong. I just tested it and it works again. The bugfix will come with the next version

Terrific. Many emulator front-ends use the command line options to execute programs/games. This will be great as your shader support is very good.

Any eta on release schedule? I’ll hold off on switching to a SVN build if it’s imminent.

For an update version with the SVN I can't tell you yet. I am currently translating Wing Commander 1 inc Secret Missions into German. Dosbox I have to catch up with the SVN commit path. I will upload the current version with the fix on the weekend .. ok? :)

Thanks

An example of an emulator front-end that uses the command line is CoinOps Next for PC.

It calls DOSBox with a command line that includes the game's executable path.

I can't do it anymore today. Got to work long hours. But the days come. promised.

Is a new version coming? The command line issue is preventing this from being used for emulators front-ends.

It's fixed on my hard drive. I hope to be able to return to normal work as soon as possible.
