Application Window Problems (macOS) #52

Closed Crystallized21 closed 1 year ago

Crystallized21 commented 1 year ago

On macOS, there seems to be a bug where the application window does not want to appear. This happens when the application opens, then you would click the "X"/ Close button. Afterwards, you are not able to make the application open.

Workaround: Quit the app and reopen it. Specs:

Thanks for the report. What X/Close button are you using? I don't have a mac so I don't know what the application looks like, is it a close button created by MacOS?

Also does the hotkey work to bring up the application again?

Crystallized21 commented 1 year ago

It’s not the traditional macOS buttons where it has the CLOSE, MINIMISE, FULLSCREEN buttons. The application has a it’s own “X” button at the top right. I don’t have access to my laptop right now but will provide a screenshot asap.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. That sounds right, good to know the MacOS buttons don't appear. Will investigate.

Forgot to mention, but the hotkey does not work to make the application window open. Thanks for this app by the way!

What if you try changing the hotkey from the settings menu - does it work if you use different modifiers?

Crystallized21 commented 1 year ago

If I change it to something else, it works. The Command key does not work in this instance. Meaning the default modifier does not work.

Yep I'll look into changing the default hotkey for MacOS and making that clear. Thanks for the screenshot.

Pushing a change that should fix it, will be in the next update. Please reopen this issue if it doesn't work after that.
