Workshop Description: (Bold) The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the ever-growing network of physical objects that feature an IP address for internet connectivity, and the communication that occurs between these objects and other Internet-enabled devices and systems. One of the most vibrant areas that IoT solutions fits in is healthcare. Intel technologies power today's data set management and analytic tools, helping health and life sciences optimize diagnostics, treatment, and care delivery. The Intel IoT Platform identifies the key components of an IoT solution, how they work together, and where essential capabilities—such as security and analytics—happen.

Biography (Bold) Hossam is Intel for Good Manager Assistant at Intel Corporation, where he is responsible for implementation of Corporate Affairs Programs in Egypt and managing the governmental relations helping to drive policy, education, entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility and community programs to enhance Intel reputation and business. He is an IEEE volunteer since 2008; started as the webmaster of the Cairo University SB, leading the branch to the 3rd place and the 1st place of the MGA Student Branch Website Contest 2009, 2010 respectively. Hossam was elected as the branch vice-chairman 2009/2010. He also led the team winning the IEEE Student Enterprise Award 2009. Moreover, Hossam earned the 4th place in the R8 Sections Website Competition 2009/2010 as the webmaster of Egypt Section. Hossam was appointed as the Web Activities Coordinator of Region 8 Student Activities Committee (Europe, Africa and Middle East) 2011 – 2012. In 2011, he was assigned as a member of the IEEE Day organizing team; then the global IEEE Day 2012 team leader. For 3 successive years, Hossam served as the Student Representative of IEEE Egypt Section helping 25+ student branches in different universities all over Egypt. In addition to his work at Intel Corporation, he is currently working as a freelance web developer as well with an outstanding experience in 2 start-up companies.
