Wifi Hotspot not working. #22

I have been using other roms like cleanrom and Nocturnal, and they both allow 
me to enable my wifi hotspot without having the feature through AT&T.  If I try 
enabling with this rom, it just shows that its processing but never enables.

I have the same problem and I am running viper XL 3.2.8.  It broadcasts an 
SSID, but then does not allow any internet traffic to pass.

i have the same problem.  also worth noting that i have had very good success 
with other roms creating a hotspot using a third party app called PDANET.  I 
believe this app circumvented the prohibition of tethering by my carrier, by 
creating its own hotspot, independent of the built-in rom (HTC Sense)'s hotspot 
app.  Since installing Venom whenever I start PDANET, it seems that it triggers 
the initiation of both PDANET's hotspot and the one built into the rom, which 
is probably blocked by my carrier.  /hope that wasnt too confusing.  great job 
on the rom, btw
