Conflict Global Storm: Hangs on Logging in #3

Open gholol opened 10 years ago

gholol commented 10 years ago

So yeah.

I compiled whole source and populated mysql DB. I also added game to "games" table: id: 1 gamename: conflictsopc queryport: 27900 disabledservices: 0 backendflags: 0 secretkey: keylist:

Account creation works, however everytime i log in, it just hangs, for minutes, and hours, nothing happens.

Wireshark output ( Server ->Game) http://speedy.sh/ZrnxX/conflictglobal.pcapng

Looks like game log outs after a while..

Bad, very bad. Actually I need only two parts from openspy who show servers and peerchat emulation. Can you try to remove all database an other source and try to compile only serverbrowsing and peerchat parts.

Thank you sir for respond to my question. Finally I don't know how to send direct e-mail to github users :)

Cheers eng.Emil Manov

0 info about compilation steps. Full of errors. mingw doesn't work too.

Hi Emil!,

I don't understand. After some structural changes I already compiled whole project on Win7 32Bit. I can give you source code if you want. However CGS doesn't work on it.. and since original gamespy is dead, i cannot analyse original packets... so maybe somebody here can help :P

someone have complete code, wich can be compiled under Windows? added: lots of link errors, it is really possible to compile it under windows MSVS2010?

haudi commented 7 years ago

From zero I come this far:

1.) compiled the project 2.) installed xampp with apache and mysql 3.) get the mysql tables together

Now, I tried to configure the dns (bind9), put the IPs in openspy.cfg, the modules starts but nothing happens.

Is there any step i missed?

Haudi, how where you able to compile the project? I keep getting constant errors, and I missing something?

haudi commented 7 years ago

I forgot to mention that I'm on ubuntu, not Windows. Are you on ubuntu? You need to install the dev packages (boost, build essentials, mysql, geoip etc.). Just try out. Later I can give you my list of installed packages. Do you know what to do after openspy is compiled?

jwaye89 commented 7 years ago

Alright cool. I will have to use my laptop to compile it then. I am not 100% sure but I do know all the games you want to be able to run must be put within the database, with query ports and such.

A gaming community I know who have it running, are running it on a Windows server with IIS, so I am not sure if that makes a difference or not.

haudi commented 7 years ago

Thanks for the information jwayne89, Can give me the name of the community? Seems there is no chance here for other help. How is the compile part going on?

jwaye89 commented 7 years ago

The community is in 2 sub branches. The official site for it is openspy.org which isn't active at all. its just the site that has the server running behind it. You could try thpsx.com which is for tony hawks games which has the most use of this openspy project, but I don't think anyone will be very helpful there. The other is thmods.com, join the forum and see if you can get in contact with one known as CHC (chc) He was a lead contributor to this project and runs the openspy.org server as some may know now. No guarantees he will answer though, as he is usually trolling around IRC, no idea where though.

I haven't had the chance to start up my laptop. But I will definitely be looking into it shortly
