Decay bugged? #668

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the EPGP window
2. Press the Decay-button
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

While usually performing those actions will cause the EP and GP to be decayed,
with the latest version (5.5.23) this does not seem to work. Nothing happens at
all.

What version of the product are you using? What locale is your client (en,
ru, kr, ch, es, tw)? What other addons do you have installed and what
versions? How many members do you have in your guild? (/guildinfo).

Version is 5.5.23, Client is EN.
Guild has 181 members
I've got a ton of addons but was using the same ones before updating to the
latest version as well, and it didn't cause any trouble at that point.

Paste the text surrounded by -EPGP- in Guild Information here:
-EPGP-
@BASE_GP:1
@MIN_EP:30000
@DECAY_P:10
@EXTRAS_P:100
-EPGP-

If this is about http://www.epgpweb.com integration, what is the realm
and region of your guild?
-

Please provide any additional information below.

Just that I'm not able to do a decay anymore after updating to 5.5.23. When a
fellow officer with the 5.5.22 version tried it, it worked as intended.

I can confirm this issue with the latest version of EPGP 5.5.23.

You can add "Reset EPGP" button to this as well. Does not function while the
old version does.

I also can confirm this problem. The decay simply does nothing when you press
the decay button. No errors...no nothing with latest version 5.5.23. Are
there any fixes in the near future, or does a general consensus need to be
established before this problem is addressed? Just asking =)

Decay works for me -- have you tried other basic operations such as awarding or
deducting EP?

When you installed 5.5.23, did you completely delete the epgp/ folder from
Interface/Addons or did you extract it and overwrite? Try a complete deletion
and extraction rather than mixing the versions together.

For those for which this does not work: do you get any errors when you login?
Make sure UI errors are enabled (through buggrabber/bugsack for example).

This happened to us tonigh -- multiple decays didn't work. Awards did. No
errors.

Deleted folders and installed new version

No errors on login, using addon, clicking buttons or anywhere else (use bugsack
etc all clear)

Auto adding people to raid, adding extra people, awards and loot all working as
normal

Decay button not working, it does do the press-down as if it's working, so it's
not a masking issue

Doing this did work:

/script EPGP:DecayEPGP()

so you can decay by that; looks like the UI just isn't hooked up? Something
seems to fail when invoking StaticPopup_Show("EPGP_DECAY_EPGP",
EPGP:GetDecayPercent())

So chip you can reproduce this? Can you investigate a bit more?
