Black screen when applying patches or going back to HBL #24

Everything is (finally) working perfectly, until I try to apply patches or go back to HCL. What happens is the screen goes black and nothing happens. I watched a video and right when you start patching it goes black but then almost immediately it starts the wii u menu launch thing, but it doesn't do it for me, it just stays black forever and I have to force turn off the wii u. I have looked on google but I haven't found anything. My specs are: SD card: 8GB Firmware version: 5.5.2 Homebrew method: Browser exploit controller i'm trying to use: old xbox one controller via network client HIDtoVPAD version: I have tried basically every single one after v0.9j-nightly-c9cf99a

Please help

UPDATE: I tried the stable version of v0.9j as advised in a comment on YouTube, and it worked!
