Looks good. Maybe more usable if there is a Tree select or Book / Chapter / Verse dropdown selects?

Thanks, are you speaking of 3 separate dropdowns (book, chapter, verse) or one dropdown for everything in the search bar? I think a dropdown for the entire search bar would be nice but I don't see myself removing the search bar because I can type a book reference faster than I would be able to find and click on the book, chapter, and verse.

Three different dropdowns or tree list, similar to most bible programs like YouVersion, CrossWire, e-sword etc. Maybe toggle switch between type reference and select controls to keep the interface uncluttered.

Sorry, I am still bearing this in mind, I am working on many things right now and will get to this, but it might not be soon :(
