This is already possible. You might consider doing the online class to learn 
more about FusionPBX and what can be done in it. It will be held 26-28 of June 
2012.

This can be done with adding a single item to the inbound and outbound route. 
However it would be nice to have it as an option in the GUI.

Recording can be set per extension and you can select record all, inbound, 
outbound or local.
