Hello, thanks for the return but i don't know, it's an issue ?

It's issue or feature request. It depends on how you feel about it.

You know how to work old ncurses installer for Arch Linux (now removed and unsupported)? You can select all packages what you want before it will be downloaded and installed.

In yours 'archdi' installer you have 'Install Menu' with categories 'Console, System, XOrg, Desktop Environment..." etc. It installing packages in every categories (after selecting and press Ok button), but best way will be installing everything packages one time after selecting packages in all categories.

Understand?

Make all selections, then install everything at once

that would allow the user to make selections, then not have to pay attention to the installer while it is installing packages.

Yes thanks. Like pacman (yaourt) -S everything_what_you_select_big_list

MatMoul commented 8 years ago

Yes, I understand but the idea of the project is to not have unknown stage during installation. I'm not against a more automated installation but I think this project is too recent for this. But if you have ideas, I'm open to Pull Request or more discution.

I close issue because the discussion seems to be over.
