same problem

i'm on firefox 63.0.1 64bits debian stretch.

Same problem. Firefiox 63.0.1 (x64). Very annoying. But for restoring tab you can press browser "Go back" button (if it active).

I do that. But pushing 20-30 tabs is too much!

Same problem. Firefiox 63.0.3 (x64), Win 10(x64)

@Gonimy-Vetrom In your screenshot I can see three tabs which are not the quick dial page. If you did not press the back button on those three tabs, then this is the problem that I am facing too. In which case I suggest that you change the title as follows:

Some tabs show the quick dial page instead of the page from the previous session.

To me it affects only one in fifteen tabs, on average. Disabling or uninstalling the addon solves the problem. I am using Firefox 60 through 60.0.3 64bits, on Fedora 28 and 29.

Gonimy-Vetrom commented 5 years ago

Thank. But I already use another addon.

Gonimy-Vetrom commented 5 years ago

"three tabs" these are the ones that I pressed "back" in order not to lose information.

gitvalds commented 5 years ago

Thanks for replying. Then it is a different bug, although very similar. I too am using another addon for the time being: Bookmarked Speed Dial

MatMoul commented 5 years ago

Sorry for late reply, I'll investigate for this issue... FF 63+ have some side effect on startup plugin...

MatMoul commented 5 years ago

I've pushed a new version, try to update your extentions... I've added a parameter in QD settings that named "Startup timeout" You can set it to 0 to disable the feature, but you may encounter a blank page for QD as startpage. Or increase the value (in ms) and adjust it to your system.

LoranRendel commented 5 years ago

0.1.18 still has the bug. 0.1.13 still works well.

MatMoul commented 5 years ago

@LoranRendel From now, all request refer to 0.1.15, you're the fisrt that refer to 0.1.13... On 0.1.18, have you set the QD settings that named "Startup timeout" to 0 or an incease value?

Default value of 500, active tabs replaced with QD. Try 0.1.13, there are no bugs in it.

@LoranRendel Set "Startup timeout" to 0, this disable the feature that replace tabs...

Yes, in this case all works well.

Changing Startpage Timeout to 0 worked!

Wasn't able to access the options page through Firefox Add-Ons page though (Issue #151). Was able to access some(all?) options by right-clicking on the QuickDial page and entering QuickDial options there.

For what it's worth, I'm running QuickDial v0.1.18
