Quick Dial has stopped updating the database and resets new bookmarks settings #160

Hello, hope all is well. I've been using Quick Dial with no issues for a while but all of a sudden I have encountered a really odd issue.

So when I start Firefox it's "reading" old bookmarks that have been deleted from my folder and any changes I make in the folder are not being updated. Usually if I move a bookmark from via the Bookmarks page, Quick Dial would be in sync and update accordingly. Quick Dial is not updating anymore. Also if I add or position any new bookmarks via the browser, on quitting and restarting Firefox their positions and thumbnails are reset.

So I backed-up and deleted the Quick Dial folder in my <Firefox profile\storage\default> and restarted Firefox. Obviously all my settings were gone but the bookmarks loaded up and bookmarks were updating and saving as usual.

I found the file which stores all the Quick Dial data in the folder <idb\3647222921wleabcEoxlt-eengsairo.files> which is just a file with a numbered filename that increases as bookmarks are added.

I deleted the new Quick Dial folder, restored the backup and noticed this numbered data filename is stuck at 9793. No matter what I do it does not increase so it's out of sync with the sqlite file or something like that.

As you can see I have thousands of bookmarks which have been positioned with customised images and names so just resetting and starting again would be very time consuming to say the least.

Actually I can still use Quick Dial as I haven't actually lost any data, I am just unable to add or customise any more bookmarks to Quick Dial without them being reset on every restart of Firefox.

So do you know if there is anyway I can re-sync the numbered 9793 data file with your plugin?

Thanks and all the best :)

edit Oh by the way, this on an old computer running Windows 7 Pro so this will not be a Windows 10 or Firefox update or anything like that. No updates have been run on this particular PC for quite a while now, this behaviour has just happened out of the blue :)

It seems to be the same issue i have had with Quick Dial in that all of a sudden the latest screenshots of bookmarks (i did not check on any other customisations) would not save anymore and the updating process would never finish and upon starting Firefox the very same screenshots would start to renew again while the older ones persist.

I've a new big issue with FF85. Not sure it was related but I'll take a look For Info, QuickDial use a dedicated folder in your bookmarks, you can't lost it but QD settings perhaps if it has a bug or a DD issue.
