When laying flat down, Peek can fire if the proximity sensor is accidentally triggered. Dependant on some as-yet unknown factor, this can cause the UI to act as if it's "half in" Peek, with the screen not responding to touch.
This is now resolved alongside the move to relying more on accelerometer data.
