CMD+V issue with Firefox (v31) #58

Open francesco-carrella opened 10 years ago

francesco-carrella commented 10 years ago

To reproduce:

1- open http://autotab.mathachew.com/ with Firefox (I tested with the latest v31) 2- paste a clipboard content in a field with cmd+v 3- UNEXPECTED: a "v" char will be write in the field instead of clipboard content

Looks like this is an issue affecting Macs as I just tested in v30, then upgraded to and tested it in v31 without any issue. After reading this, I'm certain that's why it's not behaving. Would you be able to provide a key event's details? I'm curious to see what the properties look like. Based on the SO question, though, it sounds like I'll have to track this manually, which will be hard to test as I don't have a Mac. I'll see about setting up a VM running OSX.

The same here on OSX El Capitan + Safari.

Thanks for the update @web4people. I have a Mac through my job that will allow me to debug this further.

Did anyone find a fix for this?

Mathachew commented 6 years ago

@arpitim Unfortunately no, I never figured out the problem. I'm also no longer at that company and don't have access to OSX anymore.

arpitim commented 6 years ago

@Mathachew okay, no problem. Thanks for the reply :)

Ran into the same issue here, running El Capitan this happens in Firefox 57.0.1 and 57.0.3 and in Safari 11.0.2.
