Won't Record with Audio #224

First time user, I was able to record OK without audio, but if I had any audio source selected (bluetooth Bose headset or Logitech webcam) then it would fail. I would end up with a single frame video file. Might add a "Test Audio Source" option.

Try recording audio only:

In place of Screen, select Only Audio
First, record in Wave format with audio sources selected.
Next, record in Mp3 format with audio sources selected.

Let me know if these work.

Thank you for the rapid response, I was able to record a few seconds of silence, but it never got audio. Seems I am having some hardware trouble with my headset, but it would still be a good idea to have a "Test Audio" since when it fails to connect to the audio, it also breaks the video recording but doesn't provide any error reporting regarding it that I saw.

Which version of Captura are you using?

It was the newest binary v7.0.1, sorry if these things were already addressed in a newer development version, I haven't tried compiling it yet.

Please test and let me know.

A difference in this version is that checkboxes are used instead of dropdown so that more than 2 sources can be recorded simultaneously. Also, make sure to check the checkbox next to Audio heading.

Similar problem. Does not record audio. default

OBS Studio or Camtasia studio record audio fine. Whats wrong.(

@moadip84 I'm attaching older versions of bass.dll and bassmix.dll. BASS is the audio library used in Captura. I've heard of some issues regarding the latest version of BASS. Please try replace both bass.dll and bassmix.dll with these and let me know if it works.

Did some more changes, try downloading v8.0.0-beta2

I'm terribly sorry a mistake happened in v8.0.0-beta2, please test with v8.0.0-beta3.

Hi, I don't know if you're still having problems with this but, to fix this all you have to do is enable stereo mix and restart Captura. The option to pick it should appear in the audio options.
