ES_Identify Patch #18

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Hi, since Dop-IOS MOD doesnt apply ES_Identify on any IOS, people gettig
problems with installing priiloader as it requires a ES_Identify patched
Systen IOS.

Here is a mod of Dop-IOS MOD that applies ES_Identify to IOS
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=188344&st=0&p=2360277&#entry2360277

If you could integrate that in the original Dop-IOS MOD it would be awesome :)

We support IOS36 patching. I'll have to look into IOS70 if that is what you are
asking.

So first attempt of this. It allows me to patch IOS70, however when I run our
signcheck it is failing on the ES_Idetify check so I'll have to research this
some more.

2 things.
1. If you are referring to IOS70 patching then it is not needed for priiloader.
I
actually run priiloader with an unpatched IOS70.
2. Even though I was able to patch it at the normal location, whenever I run
ES_Identify using IOS70 i get an error -1029 (Installed Ticket/TMD is invalid)
which
is telling me the patch doesn't actually work.

If you are just trying to get priiloader working if you patched IOS36 then it
should
install. You can also install it using IOS249 by holding the B button when you
press
the + button to install priiloader.

Well, many users did report their Priiloader does not boot the system menu due
to
unpatched system menu IOS. The solution for this issue shall be to install the
system
menu IOS [patched][FreetheWad].Wad. But I dont want users to download illegal
wads.

The installation of Priiloader is not the problem. The problem is that
Priiloader
wont boot the system menu.

The normal Preloader did apply the patch himself to the system menu IOS, but
Priiloader doesnt, so the patch must be done manualy.
