the log in DopIosModReport.csv is wrong #24

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start DOP-IOS MOD v11
2. Select "Scan the Wii's internals"
3. check the log in the SD root (DopIosModReport.csv)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would expect the log to correspond with the output I get on
the screen, but it doesn't. The log lacks the FakeSign column, and has all
the other columns shifted by one towards the left (so that it appears that
the missing columns is the USB 2.0 support).

so i ran syscheck within from the program again and compared it to the original
syscheck program. All reports are the same except for the fakesign column (I
assume
the column called Trucha bug is the same as fake sign?)

Correct. The Trucha bug is what allows Fake Signing. It is the same thing. The
screen
and the csv file displays the same exact thing now.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Well, what I'm trying to say is that it doesnt show the exact same thing.

check ios249, ios202, or ios12 for example..

one of them it says enabled while it says disabled in the other..

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
That is because I fixed it in 11.1 ;) The top one is not correct due to the
logic I
originally had.

I think you misunderstood me Lunatik.

The first one is from a program called syscheck by erikspyder found in the
following
link
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=205741

The second data set is the output from 11.1

All columns are the same except for the fakesign column
So which program has it wrong?

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
More than likely ours is correct. The way we test for FakeSigning is by sending
an
invalid TMD file to ES_AddTitleStart. If it succeeds then we know it is has the
trucha bug. Without being able to see the source code for SysCheck I can't tell
you
how he is testing.

Yeah I know, I just wanted to bring it to your attention.
It did seem weird that ios249 didnt have fake signing in the original syscheck
program.

Thanks :)

No Prob. But yeah it is weird that the cios would show disabled which tells me
however he is doing the fakesign checking is not valid.
