Wiimote controller disconnects immediately

What IOS did you use?
I do not know, the remote desynchs before I have selected anything.
What is the first 4 digits of your Wii's Serial Number?
LU54
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open the homebrew channel through either the system menu or Bootmii
2.Select DOP-mii v16 or the WiiBrew version
3.Click "Load"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to use the buttons on the Wii remote to navigate the menu. 
Instead, it gets to the first screen, where it gives a warning that it may 
brick your wii, and then the wii remote disconnects, and will not reconnect 
with the button on the front of the wii. The lights on the remote just keep 
flashing.
Please provide any additional information below.
I do not have a working Gamecube controller, so I do not know if that would be 
able to continue (meaning that it is a problem with the wii refusing to connect 
to the remote), or if DOP-mii is frozen. It happens on every wii remote I have 
tried.

Same problem here. Strangely I can still use the remote to put my Wii in 
standby. I'm running IOS 58 and the first 4 digits of the serial# are "KU50."

#1 Use the updated tutorial from Wiihacks, don't even need DOP-Mii and 
everything works with the Motion Plus controller.
