Is there any way to make this Game Genie work like the Genesis GX emulator?
Meaning, on the main menu?

I totally agree, some nes games are impossible and game genie support would be
useful

I would also love game genie support for FCE Ultra GX. Would this be something
that
could be added? I know that some emulators for the PC have the capabilities.
Would
love to use some of the SMB cheats for old times sake :)

Please make it like Genesis GX with Game Genie input codes on Main Menu! 5
Lines
instead of 3 if possible!

this should help you implementing it ;-)

btw, gamegenie support in emulator is nothing more than ROM patching in memory
(like
what .cht and .ips files are doing), you just need to properly decode Game Genie
codes to find the address and the data byte value to patch

I realize that but I don't feel like having multiple copies of the same rom with
different gamegenie codes patched into the game. Also if you have some of your
other
projects with this option why not have it in this emulator?

ekeeke was talking to me, I think. yes, this option will be implemented some
day,
I'm just in no rush to do it personally - for one thing, because I'll never use
it
myself.

And why don't u just implement a cheat (.cht) option like in snesgx?

Why don't you do it?

Hex/Game Genie converter. Found on SMWcentral.net.

I would love to see this as well and I hope one day cheat support gets added.
If it
does, I think .cht support would be much better than having to enter game genie
codes
manually every time you want to use a code. .cht files are available around the
net
and are very easy to edit/create in a text editor. I already have a large
collection
of them for use on fce ultra on windows!

cht support would actually be easier and make more sense. I noticed in the
options
for the directory structure the cheats directory was added. So maybe this will
be a
feature that will be addressed soon. I just realized you could just make the cht
files in FCE Ultra emulator for pc which is a lot easier than rom patching.
Well so I
guess my original issue should be changed from Game Genie to .cht support.
