Browse the DVD Filesystem #76

Not sure if its just me having an issue or should be an enhancement.

I have the NES and SNES emu's working great through the homebrew, I
switched from loading from an SMB share for speed reasons to DVD, I burnt
a DVD with a structure as so:

/--
...!_NESROMS
...!_SNESROMS
...!_N64ROMS

I would like to be able to browse the DVD and choose the ROM I want to load
from a sub folder but instead I get "no files found", I am assuming its
looking for roms in the root dir of the DVD. The SNES emulator lets be
browse the DVD file structure superbly.

Thanks for listening, I guess I should put my current WII version, 3.4U on
the WII and have a 512MB SD card with over 400MB free if that's
relevant/useful.

I mentioned speed reasons in loading from the SMB share too, I want to
quit using that method as I have 1000's of ROMS's and it takes an age to
bring up the list across the wireless connections, any change of creating
an index file for faster loading, either on the SD card or in the shared
folder on the computer.

Thanks,
Rob Turner

Check the saves and roms path on the config file.
Also, the DVD must be on JoiletISO 9660 (the most common format). If you got "No
files found", its probably because of this.

If you want to speed up SMB (and SD), you could split your files on several
folders.
Try 500 files per folder or something like that. (Also do this on your DVD,
when I
tried to load from a dvd the emulator only showed the first 1000 files of about
3000)

I hope this help you.

I also have had this problem. I can't browse the dvd for roms. All other apps
(snes9x
and mplayer) browse the dvd just fine. Enabling this feature would be nice. My
dvd is
burned on JuiletISO 9660. I am using a DVD-R disk from Compusa and Wii menu
3.4u with
DVDX for 3.4 obviously
