I don't have this problem. I see image3 right after I select "Rescue" mission,
on any emulator. Wrapper's issue? Need someone else to check.

The issue appear at random (not always) and fog must be enabled - try a few
times if you don't see it first time.
Did you use HWFBE version ?

Final test results:
1. uncheck "FBE" and try many times without the issue (fog is checked)
2. uncheck "fog" and try many times without the issue (FBE & HWFBE are checked)
3. uncheck "HWFBE" and try many times without the issue (fog & FBE are checked)
3. "fog", "FBE" & "HWFBE" are checked, issue appear randomly but will be cured
if you press start then continue.
From the above, I would conclude that it is a HWFBE issue when fog is checked.
For your further investigation.

You may close this issue.
I have tested with the following settings and it works correctly every time.
increase_texrect_edge = 1
fb_smart = 1
fb_hires = 0

I checked it with trunk build.

Interesting, how hwfbe may cause that glitch? Need to investigate it. So, let's
left it open for a while.

Another info:
Another way to fix the problem is to pause the game, open glide64 settings,
then "Cancel" - no need to change anything, then unpause to continue the game.
The foggy screen will clear up too (fog and hwfbe is still checked).

The weird "fog" appear in HWFBE_Fixes and not trunk version because of crc
calculation which is why it was ok in trunk version.
For HWFBE_Fixes, just need to add the following in ini and it will be ok.
fb_crc_mode = 2

I can't reproduce this bug with both trunk and branch versions, but if
'fb_crc_mode=2' fixes the game for you, it's ok to add it to the ini.
