Invisible menu options #578

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start mplayer-ce

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Visible menus

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

mplayer-ce 0.76

Do you have a modchip?

No

Please provide any additional information below.

wii  4.2E
Have DVDX installed
Do not have cIOS202 installed as I have no SAFE way to do so with this
damned 4.2E

OK, after removing DVDX and editing the config files, it works - except for DVD
playback. When I reinstall DVDX, don't get past the "text splash" screen now. 
Really odd.

I don't know what I did to the config files, I believe all I did was added a 
blank
line to the end of menu.conf - it works now, DVD playback wasn't highest 
priority, so
I'm not going to play with it any more

Same system version, same problem but i dont kno how to solve it.
Mplayer start but i cant read the voices in the menu.
Any idea?

mancanicola, try editing all the .conf files, add a blank line at the bottom of 
them
all. I also (using notepad++) changed all of the conf files to unix style 
end-of-line.

I have the same problem. Editing the files didn't work for me. Removing DVDX 
also
doesn't work.

I added a blank line at the bottom of each .conf files using notepad++, also i
removed DVDX. Nothing to do, still the same problem!!
MPlayer CE version 0.75 works, it is a problem of this 0.76 version... STRANGE!!

Try replacing the menu.conf on your SD card with this one attatched.

It's still not showing the menu for me. I tried all these solutions..
