OK, after removing DVDX and editing the config files, it works - except for DVD
playback. When I reinstall DVDX, don't get past the "text splash" screen now.
Really odd.
I don't know what I did to the config files, I believe all I did was added a
blank
line to the end of menu.conf - it works now, DVD playback wasn't highest
priority, so
I'm not going to play with it any more

mancanicola, try editing all the .conf files, add a blank line at the bottom of
them
all. I also (using notepad++) changed all of the conf files to unix style
end-of-line.

I have the same problem. Editing the files didn't work for me. Removing DVDX
also
doesn't work.

removed DVDX. Nothing to do, still the same problem!!
MPlayer CE version 0.75 works, it is a problem of this 0.76 version... STRANGE!!
