Loading Mkv files from burned DVD causes the player to hang #589

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Burn a dvd with .mkv files. In this case, Macross Plus
2. Load dvd into wii and fire up Mplayer.
3. Select open file from DVD
4. Wait while it mounts the DVD
4. All text disappears from the screen, leaving only the background.
Pressing B brings me back to the open menu
Brining up the OSD lists a 10 second loop, a cache at (-1%) m1(0.21)m2(40.24)  

What version of the product are you using?
Version 0.76 (26.11.2009)

Tell us about your system. Such as the purchase date, hardware or software
modifications and updates.
Hardware was purchanses 20.11.2008, Only software modification is the
installation of the home brew channel via bannerbomb, currently running Wii
system menu 4.
