Mplayer ce .76 Hanging at loading screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Installing HBC via Hackmii and booting mplayerce from apps. I have also tried 
installing the modded Cios hosted here (which it did succesfully) but the 
problem persists

What version of the product are you using?
I am using Mplayer ce 0.76.

I am using a softmodded wii with HBC, bootmii and DVDx installed.
System menu 4.2u. (it was hanging in 4.0u also)

Mine does this if I don't wait until the HBC has network icon (bottom right) has
finished flashing. You should try waiting for this before starting MPlayer and 
see if
this helps

Should the network be connected or disconnected?? I will try both ways.....

Anyways mplater 0.7x doesnt work. 0.62 worked perfectly

OK for me I had to wait for the Internet icon in HBC and have a usb flash drive
plugged in to get past the start up screen in MC CE 0.76. it take about 7 sec 
to get
past this screen so have some patients.

0.75 didn't require the usb drive.
