dvd video format trouble #724

I tried playing volume 1 of sonic x disc one and it won't play.

It plays fine in wiimc but I want to have some fun with the 
speed modifier in mplayer.

I have also found the format of the video/s in the DVD by using Wiixplorer
and they have the extention .vob on all the videos.
