Crash on Boot Up #8

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run WiiN64 from Wii Homebrew Channel
2. See WiiN64 Logo
3. Just as Spinning N logo starts to descend from the top, Wii64 crashes
with a Code Dump

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to see the menu so I can select/load games

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

README : WiiN64 / mupen64gc
Alpha - r3xx

Used on an NTSC USA Wii with all the latest updates.

Please provide any additional information below.

Not sure what else to provide. It works on my brother's Wii.

I've tried this on two SD cards, both are 2GB and both crash to a code dump
when the
spinning N logo appears on screen. Do you think maybe large SD cards might be a
problem?

I also tried sending the DOL to my Wii using TCPLoad, which crashes to a
completely
green screen before I see any logo or anything.

Maybe I should also mention that the file is a .DOL which from looking at other
information shouldn't work while the Wii is in Wii mode. But how come it works
in the
Homebrew Channel video and how come it works for my brother even though it's a
DOL?

I've had other reports of this issue and I have no idea of the cause. Will you
give
me the addresses listed in the traceback? (It looks like Address 0 --> Address
1 -->
...). I should be able to find where its crashing that way.

This appears to be an upstream issue with libbte. Please try booting the
emulator
after turning off all wiimotes if possible and reopening this bug report if you
still
have issues.
